Haryana government has decided to treat the drivers and conductors recruited on contract basis on or after January 1, 2003 as regular from their initial dates of joining. Stating this here today, state Transport Minister Krishan Lal Panwar said the decision has been approved by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. He said the benefits of Assured Career Promotion, pay fixation and monthly financial assistance would be given notionally to the drivers and conductors up to July 31, 2016 and on actual basis with effect from August 1, 2016. Those who joined the service up to December 31, 2005 would be governed under the Family Pension Rules, 1964 and those who joined the services on or after January 1, 2006 would be governed by the New Pension Scheme, 2006, he said.
