Through this strategic partnership, Weil will be exclusively retailed in through Helios along with another retailer for luxury watches 'Ethos', the company officials said.

"...If you look at the contribution of Swiss brandsit is somewhere in the range of about 25 to 30 per centtoday. We want to scale that up, and specifically the affordable luxury brand's sales are expected to double over next three to four years," Titan Company Limited CEO (Watches and Accessories) S Ravi Kant told reporters here.

"Today we are taking an important step in that direction...At Helios, we are always looking to partner with brands that share our passion for craftsmanship and synergy with Weil...(which) is a testament to this cause," he said.

Claiming to be the first Swiss brand to enter the Indian market, Weil said it has been reaching out to the discerning Indian consumer since last 30 years and hasa strong base of loyalists.

Weil President Olivier Bernheim said the reason for the partnership is to have a quality distributionnetwork in the country for their products.

"Our aim is to build in and to partner with the same kind of quality we think we have in United States, England, Australia and Spain, where we see trained and educated sales staff who are coherent with our strategy."

Responding to a question on service requirements, Bernheim said Helios staff are trained by Weil in Geneva.

Also, spares will be regularly shipped for the service requirements.

Helios houses a wide collection of stylish timepieces for men and women, offering a range of the latest collections from over 25 international brands.

It also provides after-sales services across its stores.Helios will soon be having 50 stores in about 27 cities in the country.
