House collapses, contractor among two dead

The house, located in a commercial hub in the town, was being dismantled for reconstruction when the incident happened, police said.

The injured were admitted to a hospital, they said.

Some drilling was going on in the house when a portion of it gave way killing two and injuring an equal number, workers at the scene said.

Sixty-year-old Gopi Lal Ghanchi, the civil contractor for construction of the house, and Ishwar Lal Meena, aged 22, a labourer were killed.
