A 16-year-old Indian-American boy has been arrested for allegedly striking and killing a woman from while racing his pickup truck with another vehicle in the US state of Florida, a media report said.

Madhav Sood, the driver of the truck, has been arrested on charge of vehicular homicide in Lake Mary area in the death of 31-year-old Priya Pachauri.



Police said Pachauri was walking on the sidewalk along Lake Emma Road when she was struck by Sood's truck which he was driving recklessly, Wftv.Com reported.

The speed of his vehicle was above the posted speed limit of 72.42 kph when he aggressively changed lanes while racing another vehicle and hit Pachauri, police said.
