Israel to strip Arab attacker of citizenship for first time

An Israeli has decided to strip an Arab Israeli attacker of his citizenship, legal sources said today, in what a rights group said was the first ruling of its kind.

The Haifa district decided to strip Alla Zayud of his citizenship yesterday by applying a 2008 that allows the interior ministry to deprive of their nationality those involved in "terrorist activities", the sources said.
