New Line has acquired rights to Dutch filmmaker Nico van den Brink's short film "Sweet Tooth" and is setting up the project as a feature film with James Wan producing.
Van den Brink will direct and have a story by credit in what will be his first feature, reported Variety.
The short film, which debuted at the Fantasia Festival, focuses on an apartment dweller who discovers on the news that three of her neighbours have been killed.
Wan will produce through his Atomic Monster production company and Chris Bender will produce for Good Fear.
