The release quoted the chief secretary as saying that under Section 250 of the Company Act, the deputy commissioners would take custody of shell companies. Das said genuine companies are welcomed from the heart, but there is no place for shell companies in the state. A total 634 shell companies of the state were removed under Section 248 (5) of the Company Act 2013, the release said.
