Judge lodges FIR against lawyer

The first-class judicial magistrate Sangita Rani has lodged the FIR against advocate Narendra Dev and his clerk Madhusudan Singh under several sections of IPC and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 for allegedly abusing her with casteist remarks on October one.

She alleged that she had been humiliated and abused by the accused persons in her office after she had refused to grant them favour.

An investigation was going on in the matter, police said.
