Junior paddlers progress in Asian ch'ship

The Cadet boys' squad, comprising Sudhanshu Grover, Abhishek and Vivek Bhargav, blanked Thailand 3-0 to make it to the next stage.

Grover defeated T Padasak in straight sets and Yadav put India in driver's seat by winning his match against Poungsri Max 3-0. Later Bhargav completed the whitewash when he defeated J Sataporn 3-1.

The junior girls team consisting of Manika Batra, Mallika Bhandarkar and reeth Rishya defeated Kazakhstan 3-0.

The Cadet girls team, comprising Karnam Spoorthy, Suthirtha Mukherjee and Sumanna Saha, followed suit winning by the same margin against the Kazakh girls.

Meanwhile, the Junior boys team of Utkarsh Gupta, Berdi Boro and Lalren Puia too moved to the next stage.
