Veteran actor Kurt Russell is in negotiations to star in an untitled Christmas movie.
The 66-year-old actor will play Saint Nick in the project, which will be backed by streaming giant Netflix and helmed by Clay Kaytis, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows two siblings (Lewis and Camp) who try to prove that Santa is real by catching him on camera. Things don't go quite as planned and they accidentally cause Santa's sleigh to crash in Chicago, prompting them to find a way to get Christmas back on track before it's all ruined.
Judah Lewis and Darby Camp are starring alongside Russell in the film. It will be produced Chris Columbus.
The script for the film has been written by Matt Lieberman.
Production is scheduled to begin in January and the film is expected to release around the 2018 holiday season.
