The metal for delivery in January was trading higher by 25 paise, or 0.15 per cent, at Rs 163.25 per kg in 261 lots. Analysts said better demand from battery makers in the spot market and strength in base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange (LME), supported by weakness in the dollar, influenced prices. At the LME, lead for three-month delivery traded at USD 2,553.50 per tonne.
