Lead edges higher on spot demand; global cues

Analysts said better demand from battery makers in the spot market and strength in base metals pack at the Exchange (LME), supported by weakness in the dollar, influenced prices.

At the LME, lead for three-month delivery traded at USD 2,553.50 per tonne.
