Brijesh Kumar was absconding after being released on parole by the High Court and failed to surrender before the jail authorities on the given deadline, they said.

He was arrested yesterday.

Kumar was handed life term in a kidnapping case by the trial court which was later upheld by the Delhi High Court.

  

Life-term convict who jumped parole arrested

A 25-year-old life-term convict, who jumped parole and evaded police, was arrested from Mukundpur village here.

Brijesh Kumar was absconding after being released on parole by the High Court and failed to surrender before the jail authorities on the given deadline, they said.

He was arrested yesterday.

Kumar was handed life term in a kidnapping case by the trial court which was later upheld by the Delhi High Court.
