Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken today started campaigning for the party's Rajouri Garden candidate for the April 9 bypoll.
He said the party workers will go door-to-door to make the voters aware about the candidate-- Meenakshi Chandela.
"The development works carried out by the previous Congress government in Delhi were very impressive and extensive not only in the Rajouri Garden assembly constituency, but across Delhi," he added.
Taking a dig at the ruling AAP, Maken claimed that they party has been in power for over two years in Delhi but have not carried out any development works.
AAP has only made excuses and clashed with the Centre on each and every issue, he said.
"The people of Rajouri Garden had elected AAP candidate Shri Jarnail Singh as the MLA to carry forward the development works in the constituency, but he deserted Rajouri Garden to contest the Punjab Assembly elections, leaving the people here in the lurch. AAP is a power-hungry party," he said.
