Marilyn Manson's bandmate Twiggy Ramirez accused of rape

Press Trust of India  |  Los Angeles

Twiggy Ramirez, bassist for rocker has been accused of by Jessicka Addams, lead vocalist of the band Jack Off Jill.

In a lengthy post, Addams claimed that she started dating Ramirez (born Jeordie White) in the 1990s and their relationship turned violent in a short period of time.

"The physical abuse did not start until a few months later when Jeordie took a cage full of our pet white mice and dumped them into my mother's car that I was borrowing at the time.

"That is the first day I can remember him hitting me over me over and over as the mice scattered. He later apologised profusely and said it would never happen again. But it happened again, and again, and often," she wrote.

Addams said during a tour break with Nine Inch Nails, who White was also jamming with, the bassist allegedly raped her at their friend's house.

"He forced me on to the floor with his hand around my neck. I said NO. I said NO. I said it so loud enough, that Pete (the friend) came rushing in from the other room to get him off of me. But I had been raped. I had been raped by somebody I thought I loved."

The singer said it took her decades to publicly come forward with the accusations against Ramirez as she feared being "blackballed" from the industry.

Addams said she had opened her heart about the incident in a 2015 interview with Alternative Press Magazine, without naming the musician, which encouraged many women to share their stories.

Manson also released a statement to Pitchfork about the singer's accusations, claiming he was unaware about Ramirez's misconduct.

"I knew Jessicka and Jeordie had a romantic relationship many years ago and I considered and still consider Jessicka to be a friend.

"I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka's obvious distress," the statement read.

Addams' allegations come when Hollywood is reeling under the infamous Harvey Weinstein scandal.
