Max temperatures close to normal in Har and Punjab

and mostly witnessed normal temperatures today but sweltered under high humidity levels.

Chandigarh, the joint capital of the two states, recorded a high of 35.3 degrees Celsius, according to a department report.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 35.1 degrees Celsius, and recorded 5.2 mm of rainfall.

Hisar recorded a maximum of 38.2 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 35.4 degrees Celsius, one degree above the normal while and Patiala recorded their maximums at 35.3 degrees Celsius and 35.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The department has predicted rain or thundershowers at isolated places over the next two days.
