Mentha oil up 1.51 pc on spot demand

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for delivery in June was higher by Rs 17.40, or 1.51 per cent, to Rs 1,169.80 per kg, clocking a business volume of 303 lots.

The for current month was trading higher by Rs 15.90, or 1.24 per cent to Rs 1,296 per kg, with a trading volume of 212 lots.

Marketmen said raising of bets by speculators, driven by surging demand from consuming industries at the spot market and restricted supplies from Chandausi, led to the rise in in futures trade.
