Michael Jackson wore mother's jacket for moonwalk debut

Jackson and his brothers were scheduled to mark the 25th anniversary of their music label Motown Records with a special performance and the 'Thriller' hitmaker was so nervous ahead of the big gig he ransacked his mother Katherine's closet to find a lucky outfit to wear, reported Femalefirst.

"He didn't know what he was gonna wear so he went to my mother's closet. And she had this shiny thing that she wore, this black sequin thing and he said, 'I like that. Can I wear it on the show?' That's what he did the moonwalk in," said Jermaine Jackson.
