A local NGO has urged Madhya Pradesh government to terminate the services of such government employees who are caught drunk at public places even during holidays.
A NGO - Rural Public Services - has made this demand through a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
"The employees and officials caught drinking or in drunken state at public places put a question mark on the credibility of the state government. Such employees and officials should be sacked immediately," Rural Public Services' director Radheshyam Maru told PTI.
Maru said that such employees and officials may leak government's classified information and may also compromise on other issues.
"The law should be amended to ensure sacking of such employees and officials," he added.
