Mustardseed prices spurted by Rs 38 to Rs 3,965 per quintal in futures trade today as participants created fresh positions amid a firm trend in physical markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in May was trading higher by Rs 38 or 0.97 per cent, to Rs 3,965 per quintal, showing an open interest of 25,110 lots.
In a similar fashion, mustardseed for April delivery advanced by Rs 32, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 3,915 per quintal, open interest stood at 33,680 lots.
