"Injury has been progressing well, but not well enough," said Gilchrist.

Asked whether he would be available to represent his team at any stage of the tournament, the former Australian captain said, "Even if I am available for playing, it is not sure that I will play as the the boys are doing a great job right now and the team is really jelling well."

Meanwhile, stand-in-skipper David Hussey was ecstatic at their victory against Deccan Chargers yesterday and insisted they need to carry on the good work against Daredevils here tomorrow.

"We had a good match yesterday. We are playing Delhi tomorrow, it's a big game for us and we need to play equally well to get two points and move ahead. The boys are confident of putting up a good show," said Hussey.

Chasing an imposing target of 191 to remain in contention for the last-four berth, Hussey stroked an unbeaten 35-ball 65 to take KXIP to victory.

Punjab came back after being reduced to 56 for three in the eight over through Hussey and youngster Gurkeerat Singh.

The only Pakistani cricketer to be a part of this year's IPL, Azhar Mahmood said he was impressed by the hospitality in India. "It has been a good experience so far, the hospitality has been great. I have got a warm welcome wherever I have been. The team is performing well so the feeling is even better," said Azhar.

Asked how his expertise was helping the KXIP to remain in hunt for the semi-finals, the all-rounder said it was not about a single player but the whole team that has put in a lot of effort to take them ahead.

"It is not about an individual performance, it is about the whole team. Everyone has done his bit to make the team win," he said.
