Nearly 13k complaints against Delhi Police personnel in 2015

Police received 12,913 complaints against its personnel in 2015, which is 23.51 per cent of the total complaints received against police all over the country during the same period, the was informed today.

Union Minister of State of Home Affairs, Hansraj Ahir, said in his written reply that as per NCRB data, a total of 54,916 complaints were received against police personnel across the country in 2015.



He told the House that 12,913 of the total complaints against police personnel were received by Police.

As per NCRB data, 837 departmental enquiries were initiated and 145 criminal cases were registered against Police personnel in 2015.

The minister also said that the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) does not maintain the number of complaints lodged against Police personnel across the country separately.
