The 29-year-old was set to take to the stage at Britain's V Festival this weekend but has pulled out of the show after she fell ill boarding a flight from New York Friday, reported Contactmusic.

"Due to on-going vocal issues, Nicki Minaj is unable to play this year's V Festival. Miss Minaj's band and crew have all arrived in the UK ahead of the performance at the festival this weekend, however as the artist herself boarded her flight from New York on Friday Aug 17, she felt unwell again," said her spokesperson.

Minaj, who is suffering from a bruised vocal cord, revealed she was feeling ill on Monday after wrapping up her North American tour.

She was advised to rest her voice for two weeks by medics, but she defied doctor's orders and gave an early morning concert live on US TV on Tuesday.
