No material damage to assets and lockers in fire: PNB

"There has been an unfortunate incident of fire in our Parliament Street building. There has been no loss of life or material damage to the assets of the bank and lockers of the customers," a statement from PNB said.

While every effort is being made to resume the operations of the branch, it said, arrangements have been made to serve the customers of the branch through nearby branches on K G Marg, Janpath, Connaught Place and Minto Road.

One person suffered minor injuries in the blaze that erupted in the office of Punjab National Bank in UCO Bank Bhavan on Parliament Street at Patel Chowk, near Akashwani Bhavan and Nirvachan Sadan, at around 4:45 PM.
