No proposal for bio-metric attendance of UP govt primary

No proposal is under consideration of the for bio-metric attendance of primary teachers, Basic Education minister Anupma Jaiswal today said.

She was replying to member Aditi Singh during the of the state assembly.

"The Basic Education Department has sent a time table to all primary schools to complete the course as per the academic calendar. It has been asked to fix accountability of teachers by inspection in schools," the minister said.

Jaiswal also said the is providing free books to students of class I to VIII, including maths workbooks.
