Noida factory fire: Executive Director's body identified

Press Trust of India  |  Noida

The Executive Director of the factory, which was gutted in fire on Wednesday in sector 11 here, was among the six persons killed in the incident, police said today.

Police had identified four bodies earlier. Another body was today identified as the factory's Executive Director, Sanjoy Das, they said.

Das's wife was shown the body yesterday but she could not identify it.

"She identified the body through a ring that her husband used to wear. She brought photographs and the ring in the finger of Das in photo and ring on the charred body were similar," Superintendent of Police (City) Yadav said.

Photos helped in identifying the Das's body. One body is left to be identified, he said.

Meanwhile, an National Disaster Relief Force team today searched the premises.

"Our search will continue tomorrow too," said Rakesh Raka of the NDRF team.
