ODA for biodiversity conservation should increase

"On core biodiversity, we are spending USD two billion. Whereas ODA, it is only USD six billion per annum. Somewhere, the amount has to go up if we have to meet those 20 targets," Hem Pande, Joint Secretary in the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests, told reporters here.

He was speaking on the sidelines of an event organised by the Global Environment Facility at the ongoing UN Convention on Biodiversity (Conference of Parties
