Nine officials of the Directorate of Urdu Coordination Cell here were today placed under suspension for allegedly remaining absent from duty, an official spokesman said. Secretary, law, justice and parliamentary affairs Abdul Majeed Bhat ordered the suspension of the officials after conducting a surprise inspection during which he found them absent, the spokesman said. He said that Bhat sought an explanation from the director of the coordination cell and has also ordered an inquiry in the matter to be conducted by special secretary, department of law, justice and parliamentary affairs Abdul Rashid Fayaz.
