One person has been arrested in connection with the murder of Hindu Munnani functionary Sasikumar last year.
Sasikumar (36), district spokesperson of the Munnani, was murdered with sickles by a gang in two wheelers when he was returning home in Subramaniampalayam, on the outskirts, on September 22 last year triggering a communal flare up.
Subair was arrested by CB-CID police last evening a the Mullapadi Railway Gate near Pollachi, police said.
The main accused in the case Saddam Hussain has already been arrested two months ago and search was on for his accomplice Mubarak, said to be the master mind behind the murder.
