Opposition unity in Parliament will be missing in Assembly

State Parliamentary Affairs minister and senior TMC leader Partha Chatterjee had called up Leader of Opposition Abdul Mannan of the and legislative party leader Sujan Chakraborty mooting the proposal to bring an all-party resolution.

"I spoke to both Chakraborty and Mannan... They said they will discuss and let me know. If they agree we will bring it together and if they don't agree we will bring it on our own," Chatterjee told PTI.

Mannan said the was not willing to bring in a resolution along with the TMC, rather they would prefer to bring their own resolution.

"Why will we bring the resolution with TMC? They (TMC) are demanding roll-back of the decision. The roll-back of the decision is not possible, it will create a major crisis. We will bring our own resolution proposing unearthing of black money involved in chit fund scam," he said.

Chakraborty, however, said unless they received the draft, it was impossible to say whether they would support the resolution or oppose it.

Continuing her tirade against Modi, Mamata Banerjee vowed to fight till the end against the "anti-people" decision which, she claimed, had imposed an "undeclared financial emergency" in the country.

Banerjee had staged a sit-in in Delhi on November 23 and also met President Pranab Mukherjee on the issue. She addressed a meeting in Lucknow today and is scheduled to address a meeting in Patna tomorrow.
