Paid in old notes by contractor, workers file police complaint

Sanitation workers who were paid their wages by a contractor in the scrapped Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes today lodged a police complaint.

The workers of solid waste management department of the civic body submitted a written complaint to Borivali Police against the contractor who had paid wages to them in the now useless Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes.
