Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will observe a day-long fast tomorrow along with BJP leaders, MLAs and MPs to protest "undemocratic" actions of the Congress leading to the washout of the Budget session of Parliament.
While Rupani would observe a 'symbolic fast' in Lal Darwaja area of the city from 11 AM to 5 PM, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel would join in the protest in his constituency, Mehsana, said a BJP release.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to observe a day-long fast tomorrow along with BJP MPs in Delhi, in an attempt to corner the opposition party over the washed-out Budget session of Parliament.
Gujarat BJP president Jitu Vaghani would observe a symbolic fast with local leaders at Vadodara.
In his statement, Vaghani accused the Congress of stalling the implementation of many pro-poor programmes by not allowing the Parliament to function.
BJP spokesperson Bharat Pandya said Rupani will continue his routine work while on fast.
Party leaders, state ministers, MPs and MLAs would take part in similar protest at various places across the state, the BJP release said.
