Complainant Nileshni Reddy, an NRI wife of Ravi Sidhu resident of Village Chotta Saipur has alleged that her husband had gone "missing" since April 26, a spokesman of the commission said in a release here.

She said that she came into his contact through a social networking site and got married in August 2011 in a temple in the presence of Ravi's father.

They stayed in a hotel after marriage and then she went to New Zealand for visa extension and returned to India in January this year.

Since January, they were staying in a hotel and her husband took her to his house only once, she claimed.

However, her husband went missing on April 26, 2012 when they were in a hotel at New , she said in the complaint.

She then contacted the family of her husband and she was told that they had already snapped ties with him.

Then she filed a complaint against her husband at NRI Police Station, Jalandhar.

IG NRI Affairs has been asked to supervise the progress of the investigation in the matter, spokesman said.
