"While we allow our players to go and play in the Sri Lankan Premier League if they are not required for national duty, under the exchange contract by the PCB, the Sri Lankan Board will also make its players available for our Premier League whenever it is launched," PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf told the 'Express' newspaper.
Ashraf said the matter had been discussed this week on telephone with the SLC and the discussions had been very positive.
"The Sri Lankans have also invited me to watch the first Test in Galle and we hope to send a draft of the proposed contract to them soon," he said.
Ashraf said the PCB is also planning to sign a similar exchange contract with the Bangladesh board.
"We allowed our players to go and play in the Bangladesh Premier League and once this contract is done it will ensure Bangladeshi players will also take part in our Premier League," he said.
Ashraf said that he would also like to see Indian players take part in the PPL.
Ashraf also spoke on the issue of Pakistani players not getting their payments from franchises in the Bangladesh Premier League and said it was a serious matter.
"It is a serious matter and whatever commitments have been made need to be honoured. When we host a similar tournament in Pakistan we will look to avoid such issues and ensure that all documents are in place so such a scenario does not occur," he said.
