Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today welcomed BJP's decision to pick Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind as NDA's Presidential candidate.
Hailing the decision, Khandu said Kovind with his humble background and vast experience will make one of the best Presidents and uphold the sanctity of the highest post of the country, an official release said.
Khandu seconded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's observation that Kovind "will make an exceptional President".
"I wholeheartedly support NDA's choice for the President's post. Hailing from a backward class, Kovind has successfully overcome all odds and reached the pinnacles of success. He is an inspiration to millions of people," the chief minister said.
