Peter Frampton injured in minor car accident

The rock star took to his Twitter to vent about the incident after he was hit by someone he claims was using their mobile phone, reported Daily Mail.

The 62-year-old was on a Southern California freeway when the accident took place, and he told his followers that it had been caused by a female driver who wasn't keeping her eyes on the road.

"Texting woman driver just ran into back of me while I was stationary in traffic 101 freeway. Can u say whiplash?," he posted.

The musician later said he was going to the hospital to get checked out.

"Back and neck not good. Going to ER after my flight today," he posted.

Frampton is about to kick off a tour which will see him play six concert dates over the month of August.
