: Around 70 photographs associated with military events across the county were put up for display at an exhibition here.

The exhibition, opened in the presence of Kochi Mayor Soumini Jain, is conducted under the aegis of Press Club and Southern Naval Command every year as part of Navy Week activities.

It was part of the Navy Fest held in the naval base here till last year.

This year the exhibition is being held at Press Club due to cancellation of Navy Fest, a Navy spokesman said here.

The exhibition is an opportunity for photojournalists of various media houses across the country to show their skill in Defence Photography.

The exhibition would continue till December 1 and is open to public.

Thereafter the photos will be shifted to Centre Square Mall, MG Road, Ernakulam for further public viewing between from December 2.

The awards for the best three photographs of the exhibition would be given on December 3 by Vice Admiral AR Karve, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command.
