PM to attend PAU's convocation tomorrow

Prime Minister will be the Chief Guest for the convocation ceremony to be held at Pal auditorium here, a university spokesman said here today.

Besides, the convocation will also witness the presence of Punjab Governor and Chancellor of University, Shivraj V Patil, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Union Minister Manish Tewari.

During the convocation, the Chancellor will confer the degrees of Doctor of Science (honoris causa) on Manmohan Singh, Badal, Dr G S Kalkat, Chairman of Punjab State Farmers' Commission and former PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr R S Paroda.

On the occasion, 32 students will be awarded PhD degrees and three students would receive gold medals for their outstanding performance.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will attend the golden jubilee convocation of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) as chief guest tomorrow.

Prime Minister will be the Chief Guest for the convocation ceremony to be held at Pal auditorium here, a university spokesman said here today.
