Police complaint against Englishbazar Cong MLA

Public prosecutor Asit Baran Chowdhury lodged his complain with the superintendent of police Jayanta Kumar Pal.

The SP confirming that he had received the complaint said the incident was a fallout of a previous criminal case against the MLA.

The MLA told newsmen that the public prosecutor had demanded Rs five lakh for an out of court settlement in the case which he had refused to give. A verbal duel took place when they came face to face during the day in the court, where the case was scheduled to come up for hearing.
