Police recovered 32 unfinished automatic pistols from Munger

The police today recovered 32 unfinished automatic pistols from a motorcycle during vehicle check on Sahzubair road under Purab Sarai police outpost of Bihar's Munger district.

Superintendent of Police Ashish Bharti said the police started checking of vehicles after getting a tip off that some persons were moving with huge cache of illegal arms.

As the two-motorcycle (red colour Pulsar) borne persons saw the police checking vehicles, the miscreants left the motorcycle and a bag and fled from the scene, the SP said adding that police found the unfinished pistols from the bag.

The registration number of the motorcycle has been found to be a fake one, he said and added that police were conducting raids to nab the culprits on the basis of CCTV footage installed on the road.
