Press Trust of India  |  Karimnagar (T'gana)

leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar's 'fast unto death' continued for the third day today, which he has launched over the demand for a medical college in Karimnagar.

Prabhakar has been on a fast at his residence here, as police did not allow him to do so at Indira chowk in the city.

According to sources, his health condition has worsened, with changes in is his sugar levels.

T Jeevan Reddy said that police have registered a case against Prabhakar for going on a fast.

He demanded that Chief Minister should sanction the medical College at the earliest.

Pradesh Committee (TPCC) chief Uttam Kumar Reddy also made a similar demand here.

Prabhakar had earlier said that Chief Minister had promised to establish a medical college in the town in 2014.

Even after three years, no steps have been taken to set up the college here, while a medical college was announced for Siddipet district last year, he had said.
