Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore today lauded the security forces for killing Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Abu Ismail in an encounter, saying no mercy should be shown to terrorists.
"Well done, security forces. Abu Ismail, the terrorist involved in attack on Amaranth Yatra, is shot dead. NO mercy for terrorists!," he said in a tweet.
Ismail was the mastermind of the July 10 attack on a bus carrying Amarnath yatra pilgrims in south Kashmir's Anantnag district that left eight dead.
He was among the two terrorists killed in an encounter with security forces in Nowgam area on the outskirts of Srinagar today.
