Refined palmolein declines on low demand

Meanwhile, groundnutoil, castorseed bold, castoroil commercial and linseedoil all held steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In futures trade, castorseeds prices dropped owing to speculative selling following lack of export enquiries.

In the edible section, refined palmolein moved down by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 653 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 656 and groundnutoil closed unchanged at Rs 1,185 per 10 kg.

Turning to futures, castorseed for June contract resumed slightly lower at Rs 3,370 and dipped further to close at Rs 3,298 over its previous close of Rs 3,371, showing a fall of Rs 73 per tonne.

However, castorseed bold, castoroil commercial and linseedoil ruled stable at Rs 3,250, Rs 680 and Rs 770, respectively.
