Refined palmolein edges down in thin trade

Meanwhile, groundnutoil, castorseed oil, castoroil commercial and linseedoil all closed stable in the absence of any major buying activity.

In futures trade, castorseeds ended flat amidst volatile trading activity on the back lower export enquiries.

In the edible section, refined palmolein inched down by rupee per 10 kg to Rs 626. Groundnutoil closed unchanged at Rs 1,160 per 10 kg.

Moving to futures, castorseed for June contract resumed lower at Rs 3,115, but later surged to Rs 3,157 before drifting back to close at Rs 3,123 as compared to Rs 3,124 previously, showing a mere loss of a rupee per tonne.

However, Castorseed bold, castoroil commercial and linseedoil all ruled steady at Rs 3,150, Rs 660 and Rs 770, respectively.
