Suspected burglars decamped with more than Rs 22 lakh from the official residence of BJP's Moradabad MP Sarvesh Kumar Singh, the police said today.
They said the incident happened on Wednesday and was reported to the police the next morning.
Neither the MP nor his family members was present at the home when the incident happened, the police said.
When the MP's son returned to the home, he saw the place ransacked and the money stolen, they said.
He informed the police and a case was registered at the Parliament Street police station, a senior police official said.
