Rs 4.97 lakh looted from regional bank

The robbers, said to be four in number, barged into the KGB branch and looted the cash from officials at gun point and fled by motorcycles.

A case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab the robbers, the sources said.

There was no no security guard at the bank, the sources added.

Armed robbers today looted Rs 4.97 lakh from a branch of the Kshetriya Grameen Bank (KGB) under Sultanganj police station in Bihar's Bhagalpur district, police sources said.

The robbers, said to be four in number, barged into the KGB branch and looted the cash from officials at gun point and fled by motorcycles.

A case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab the robbers, the sources said.
