Deeply saddened by the tremendous loss of life and devastating impact of the flash floods in Uttarakhand, the only Hindu American Congresswoman today called for steps towards rebuilding the affected communities.

"I am deeply saddened by the tremendous loss of life and devastating impact of flash floods in the state of Uttarakhand," Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said.

"My thoughts and prayers are with all those who have lost or are still missing their loved ones, and who must now take the first steps towards rebuilding their communities," she said in a statement.
