Scooter sales zoomed 41% in Bihar in 6 yrs: Honda

has taken a liking for scooters with sales rising 41 per cent in the past six years, as against 20 per cent in the country, according to Motorcycle & Scooter (HMSI).

Guleria also said HMSI is looking to substantially increase its festive sales this year. The company has launched two new models in scooters -- Cliq and Africa Twin -- and will surprise customers with another two models lined up for launch in the coming months this year.

The company has 165 outlets in at present. It plans to add 20 new 'touch points' in a year. Of its overall network, 70 per cent are rural-centric, the company said.
