About 350 KG of sea cucumber worth Rs 25 lakh and meant to be smuggled to Sri Lanka, were seized by police from a nearby village today.
Acting on a tip off, police seized the sea cucumber kept in a gunny bag in the village.
No arrests had been made so far, police said.
Sea cucumber has been classified as an endangered coral species and their harvest is banned under the Wildlife Protection Act.
