Select copra gain on good demand

Select copra prices gained further at the spices market here today following sustained demand from stockists and retailers amid good export offtake.

Meanwhile, copra Rajpur slipped on lower offtake from stockists and retailers.

Also, rest of the spices ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activities.

Copra Edible rose by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 10,000 from Monday's level of Rs 9,800.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode also went up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,500 and Rs 9,400 as against Rs 9,400 and Rs 9,300, respectively.

However, copra Rajapur declined by Rs 200 to Rs 10,600 as compared to Rs 10,800 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 540/630 (540/630), ginger unbleached (per kg) 120 (120), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 9,500 (9,400), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,400 (9,300), copra Rajapur (per quintal) 10,600 (10,800) and Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 10,000 (9,800).
