Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode both spurted by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 4,400 and Rs 4,300, respectively.

Copra edible Mumbai climbed by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 5,100 from Rs 5,000 previously.

Rest of the spices maintained a stable trend in the absence of any market moving factors.

The following are today's closing rates in rupees with previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 410/440 (410/440), ginger bleached (per kg) 90 (90), ginger unbleached (per kg) 105 (105), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 4,400 (4,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,300 (4,100), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 7,000 (7,000) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 5,100 (5,000).
